About The Actuarial Foundation

The Modeling the Future Challenge (MTF) is an academic competition from The Actuarial Foundation developed with support from the Institute of Competition Sciences. The premise is simple. Students are challenged to develop and present their own mathematical models of how a new technology might change the future. From December through February, actuaries are paired up with teams that have passed through the first phase of the competition and are creating their own modeling reports on how the technology theme could change the future. In this part of the committee's work you would help your team(s) come up with their final project and report by providing advice and guidance. The Mentorship process involves just two meetings (virtual) with your team. One meeting in January when they are first formulating their project and one in February once they have drafted their report for your review.
