About the Program
The MWM-EI Mentor Program is a one (1) year development program designed to strengthen and grow Women Business Enterprises (WBEs) whose organization provides a good or service related to science, technology, engineering or mathematics (STEM).
The MWM-EI program is designed to match 5-10 WBE's to a respective larger company to act as their mentor for a year to assist the mentee company in ways to achieve growth.
MWM- EI Mentee Eligibility Criteria
- Must be a woman-own company (WBE)
- STEM growth: Tech and Engineering
- Revenue: $3-$20 Million Annually
- Size: 25 or more employees
- Location: US-Based
- Past Success in STEM-related industry
- Years in Business: 5 years or more
- Three-to-Five Year Business Plan
- Forecasted Financial Statements for 2018-2020

Alka Dhillon is the founder and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Technalink, Inc., one of the leading technology companies in the Washington Metropolitan area. She is a Conscious Leadership Expert and International Speaker. She is a keynote speaker to various organizations and corporations globally at their conferences on Entrepreneurship, Leadership and STEM. Ms. Dhillon is actively involved in the Network for Teaching Entrepreneurship (NFTE) and serves as a board member. Ms. Dhillon has been honored with numerous awards not only for her professional achievements, but also for her commitment to serving her community. Ms. Dhillon is the author of the book “The OM Factor®: A Woman’s Spiritual Guide to Leadership: 7 Essential Tools and 7 Key Traits to Cultivate for Your Success and Well-Being. Ms. Dhillon holds B.A. degrees in Economics and Spanish from the University of Virginia.
Peggy Gionta is the President and Founder of Partner’s Consulting, Inc., a nationally certified woman-owned Information Technology consulting firm specializing in project and product delivery for Fortune 500 and 1000 companies. In 2016, she was selected as one of the Philadelphia region’s 25 Most Admired CEOs by the Philadelphia Business Journal. Ms. Gionta completed the Executive Program in Management at The Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth College, and earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Philosophy with a minor in Spanish, as well as her Master’s Degree in International Marketing from St. Joseph’s University in Philadelphia. In her role as an envoy and mentor for the Women’s Business Enterprise Council (WBEC), Ms.Gionta supports other women-owned businesses by mentoring and is a strong advocate of economically disadvantaged youth in STEM careers.
Rashi Khosla is an Enterprise Architect and CEO of MARS Solutions Group. Rashi quit her corporate career in information Technology to formed MARS Solutions Group with bootstrap capital and grew it organically to a thriving 8 Million-Dollar business in just over 4 years. MARS Solutions has successfully diversified into the Information Management Services. MARS Solutions also offers a world class iPaaS Solution via their cloud based integration platform called Neolink. A natural and meticulous strategist, Rashi worked across the globe, managing large teams and developing Data and Information solutions for many prominent clients. Under Rashi’s leadership, MARS Solutions has earned numerous awards and accolades. She has maintained a strong background in business, technology, and process development throughout her career. Rashi received her MBA degree and a B.S. in Electronics from UIM in India
Meena Krishnan as the Founder and CEO of Inoventures, has utilized her expertise instrategy, technology and finance to grow her Business Analytics company Inoventures by 3599% in the last 3 years. This earned her 2017 Inc 500 placement and 2016 Top 10 Women-Led Company recognition by Inc 500. Inoventures also earned #7 in the State of VA and #7 in the entire Industry in the USA. Meena is a sought after motivational speaker. Her story is shared in a book called The Founders by Michael Caldwell. As the Chairman of the Board of Save a Child Now, Meena constantly develop strategies for fundraising and raised close to $200,000. Helped with a new initiative called Project Touch and assisted close to 400 financially disadvantaged autistic children and young women around the globe. Meena received her M.S. in Sys.Engg and M.S.in Econometrics; PhD (ABD) in Econometrics; Wharton Business School Alumnus graduating Advanced Management Program.
Prema Patil is Founder and CEO of a Bloomington-based IT staffing firm called Tanson Corp with a simple primary objective, which was to provide highly skilled technicians to various industries with the major concentration on the sector of health care. Tanson Corp. clients include a long list of renowned industries such as Medica, H.B Fuller, MNsure, US Bank and a world-renowned health care center based in Rochester MN. Tanson Corp, has won several awards. And was the winner of 2017 Enterprising Women of the year. Patil holds a formidable blend of hard working tenacity and determination that never fades away including the Supplier of the year award in the year 2014 and is one of the leading women owned consulting firms operating in the region. Patil is also an alumna of young millionaires of Minnesota. She has challenged her limits in business and has always succeeded at the highest level. She is also a great mentor in the community and loves giving back.
Tamara Nall is the CEO of THE LEADING NICHE, an award winning and internationally recognized company known for using data and cutting-edge consulting to deliver “actionable intelligence.” THE LEADING NICHE supports commercial and government customers in domestic and international markets, including the United States, Canada, Europe and Africa. THE LEADING NICHE has received numerous recognitions Tamara Nall currently serves on the Board of TechServe Alliance and the Marketing Advisory Committee for The University of California, Irvine. Tamara Nall mentors seven small businesses to help them develop strategies to establish and grow their companies. Mrs. Nall holds an MBA from The Harvard Business School in Boston, MA. She earned a BS degree in Chemical Engineering from The Georgia Institute of Technology and a BBA from Emory University in Atlanta, GA.
Theresa Williams Harrison is the Founder and President of GEORGE STREET Services, Inc., GEORGE STREET Services, Inc., is a technology, cyber security and workflow automation and management services company headquartered in Maryland. Theresa established herself as an entrepreneur, speaker, mentor to women, soon-to-be author, and community servant. Theresa has a rich and varied background in private sector business, government contracting, and engineering. She is a focused and methodical visionary and a highly sought after speaker on topics such as: leadership, dementia, drugs and its impact and the challenges and rewards of starting a business. Ms. Harrison received her B.S. and M.B.A from Frostburg State University with a concentration in technical communications. She is a graduate of the charter class of the renowned Johns Hopkins University’s Carey Business School Leadership Development Program and has completed numerous technical, leadership and executive management programs.

STEMconnector with its Million Women Mentors (MWM) Program and Wells Fargo & Company announce their unique partnership in launching a new program together, called MWM Entrepreneur Mentoring Initiative (MWM-EI). This program was officially launched on Monday, October 23, 2017, at the MWM Summit & Gala, in Washington, D.C. The MWM-EI Mentor Program is a one-year development program designed to strengthen and grow Women Business Enterprises (WBEs). The mentee companies selected are positioned for growth through STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) ventures. Somewhat ironically, all the companies selected for mentorship are in the Tech/IT area.
Regina O. Heyward, SVP and Head of Supplier Diversity from Wells Fargo & Company, shared, “Our country needs strong women entrepreneurs in STEM to be at the forefront… and this Entrepreneur program is a focused effort to increase technical capacity and know-how and I am pleased to serve as Chair of Initiative.” In 2017, Wells Fargo’s Supplier Diversity spend was $1.27 billion. Wells Fargo invests more than $1 million annually in supplier development and capacity building activities focus on access to capital, technical assistance and mentoring to grow high potential diverse businesses.
As part of the MWM-EI program, STEMconnector & Wells Fargo matched seven (7) WBEs to a respective mentor for one year, assisting the mentee company in ways to achieve growth. Enterprising Women (EW) Magazine held a panel on this program on March 6, 2018, with seven (7) participants from this program and produced with MWM a program summary. Since its inception, Edie Fraser and Million Women Mentors have built a partnership with EW and produced a special issue of the magazine on STEMpreneurs for high school girls across the nation, introducing them to STEM mentoring.
With a new year and the new MWM-EI Mentor Program, STEMconnector and Wells Fargo will be the change they want to see by partnering to help strengthen and grow Women Business Enterprises (WBEs) whose organizations provide advancement of women and women of color.
Million Women Mentors (MWM) is a movement to advance STEM career opportunities for young women and girls through mentoring. In four years, Million Women Mentors has gained 2.3 million commitments for mentorship, sponsorship and internships and has fulfilled more than 1.1 million mentor matches. More than 65 companies are national and global sponsors of MWM while STEMconnector® has over 170 sponsors. MWM overall has over 200 annual co-branded events with sponsors and organizations, in addition to the annual awards summit and gala.
